Booking & Process
- How do I book a session?
- Click Book Now in top Right Corner and follow the steps!
- How far in advance should I schedule my shoot?
- At least 48 Hours
- Do you require a deposit?
- I do and it is non refundable, if session is cancelled.
- What happens after I book?
- Sit back and relax or reach out with any questions or concern!
During the Session
- I feel awkward in front of the camera — will you help me pose?
- Absolutely. I can keep up with your movements so even if you get up and jump around, we will get great photos!
- Can we include pets in the session?
- Definitely! Just let me know ahead of time and bring anything you need to keep an eye on it and pick up after it.
- What should we wear? Do you offer styling advice?
- No big logos, unless everyone is wearing it and we are sponsored, or distracting designs, unless there are simple designs mixed in the help even it out. Black and White is always a great start and adding one color to those is a simple way to make sure everyone looks cohesive.
- How long will the session last?
- The session can last any where from 5 minutes before your scheduled time to 10 minutes after the time depending on how much time was originally planned for.
Locations & Travel
- Do you shoot in your studio, outdoors, or at our home?
- We can go most anywhere you would like.
- Do you travel for sessions? Is there a travel fee?
- I do travel! Up to 30 miles from Mason City, Ia is included, anything passed that is $0.65 per mile.
- Can we choose the location, or do you provide suggestions?
- Both!
Editing & Delivery
- How many images will we receive?
- That varies but never less than 10 and never more than 50, except wedding and events.
- Do you retouch the photos?
- I do, I work in Lightroom.
- How long does it take to receive our gallery?
- 2 Weeks.
- How will we receive our photos?
- You will receive an online gallery through Pixieset and you can print right from the gallery and the prints will be sent to your house!
Pricing & Packages
- Do you offer payment plans?
- I am happy to work with anyone who asks.
- Do you offer prints, albums, or wall art?
- The store can be accessed through your gallery.
Weddings & Special Sessions
- Do you shoot elopements or small weddings?
- I do!
- Can we add an engagement session to our wedding package?
- Absolutely!
- Do you offer bundled collections (like maternity + newborn)?
- I do!
Other Good-to-Knows
- What if it rains or the weather is bad?
- If you are willing to work in the weather I am too! If not I am happy to reschedule within a month, but after that we will need to find away to work out other options.
- What if my kids won’t cooperate?
- Doesn't matter. Do not stress them out and do not let them stress you out. We are a team and we will be patient to make sure your child is comfortable.
- Can I bring props or special items to include in the photos?
- Please, yes!
- Do you keep a backup of our images?
- I will keep a back up and they will be available in your gallery for 6 months after your session to download or get prints.
